Clontibret Club Notes

Reserve League Division 1
This team played out a draw in Clontibret on Saturday last, 1-12 to 2-9. Although we were reasonably well ahead midway through the second half, we conceded two goals and let Carrick back into the game. Our next game takes place this Sunday away to Donaghmoyne at 5.30pm. Please note change of time.
 
Reserve League Division 3
This team are due to play Aghabog in Aghabog next Wednesday, 9th April at 7.15pm.
 
Minors
The minor team were due to play Emmet Sarsfields on Tuesday evening last (Clontibret won 0-13 to 2-5). Their next match is on Tuesday, 8th April at home to St. Pat’s at 7pm.
 
U16 League
The third round of the u16 league takes place on Friday, 18th April, away to Aughnamullen at 7pm.
 
U14
The u14 team continue their league campaign with a home match against ‘Blayney on Saturday, 19th April at 4pm.
 
U12
The u12s got their league campaign off to a disappointing start in Sean’s on Saturday where they were beaten by 0-12 to 0-8. Although they battled hard throughout, their fitness let them down in the end. The next match for this team is on Saturday, 12th April at home to Clones at 4pm.
 
Child Protection Training Courses
A basic awareness course in Code of Ethics and Good Practice in Children’s Sport will take place in two venues in Monaghan in the coming weeks; Thursday 24th April at Cassandra Hand Centre, Clones (6.30pm-10.30pm); Thursday 1st May at Farney Workhouse, Carrickmacross (6.30pm-10.30pm). The fee is €10 per person and places must be booked by contacting the Monaghan Sports Partnership Office on 0429755126. All those interested should take note and make an effort to attend.
