Clontibret Club Notes

Sympathy
The club would like to extend sympathy to the family of the late Bridget McSkeane who passed away last week. Her late husband Jack was a noted club member and worker for many years. Sympathy is also extended to the McCabe and Boyle families on the death of Francie McCabe, who died at the weekend. Ar dheis De go raibh a n-anamacha.
 
Senior League
Clontibret 2-09, Harps 2-08. The seniors left it late in Rooskey on Saturday evening last, with a strong come back to overcome a 4 point deficit and claim the points by the narrowest of margins.
 
Reserve League Division 1
We lost out by a point to Scotstown on Sunday evening last in a tough, competitive match. Despite being ahead for periods of the game we failed to put them away and paid the price in the end. Final score was Scotstown 3-08, Clontibret 1-15. Our next game is away to ‘Blayney on Sunday evening at 7pm.
 
Reserve League Division 3
This team lost narrowly to Aghabog last Wednesday by a one goal margin. Final score Clontibret 0-12, Aghabog 1-12. Next up is Aughnamullen away next Wednesday evening, 23rd April, at 7.15pm.
 
Minors
The minor’s lost to St. Pat’s on Tuesday of last week by 0-15 to 1-07. They played Carrick on Tuesday evening gone by. Result in next week’s notes. The next match is against Sean’s in Clontibret on Tuesday, April 22nd at 7.15pm.
 
U16 League
The u16s had a great win against Magheracloone on Friday last. Final score was Clontibret 6.19, Magheracloone 2.06. We play Aughnamullen tomorrow evening, Friday, in Aughnamullen at 7pm. Please note that the first match in the u16 championship is fixed for Friday, 25th April with an away tie against Donaghmoyne at 7pm.
 
U14
The u14 team lost to Carrick last week by 5-10 to 1-06. They play ‘Blayney this Saturday at 4pm in Clontibret.
 
U12
All u12 matches were called off last week due to rescheduling of fixtures. The next match takes place on Saturday, 26th April at home to Eire Og.
 
Juvenile Managers’ Meeting
A short meeting will take place for all juvenile managers this evening, Thursday at 9pm in the clubrooms.
