Clontibret Club Notes

Senior League
Clontibret 1-07, Scotstown 1-08. This was a very tough, physical battle where we played catch up for much of the game. A goal in the dying minutes gave hope of a possible draw but we couldn’t manage another score. Our next game is a star game away to Latton this Sunday at 12.30pm. Please note change of day.
 
Reserve League Division 1
We played Latton in this league on Wednesday gone by. Result in next week’s notes. Our next game is next Wednesday at home to Magheracloone at 7.30pm.
 
Reserve League Division 3
Clontibret 0-06, Sean’s 1-11. Following a gusty first half performance we were unlucky to go in 2 points down at half time. In the second half however, the greater overall strength of the home team showed through as we struggled to get scores. We are due to play Corduff at home on Sunday evening at 7pm.
 
Minor Championship
Clontibret 0-11, Donaghmoyne 1-13. We were knocked out of the minor championship by 5 point margin on Tuesday of last week. Although we battled hard throughout, Donaghmoyne always had the extra edge. Hard luck boys. We played Carrick on Tuesday gone by. Result in next week’s notes [Carrick 5-9 Clontibret 3-14].
 
U16 League
Our u16s had no game last week due to the Harps conceding the points. Our next game is at home to ‘Blayney this evening, Thursday at 7pm.
 
U14
Our u14s will play the Harps on Saturday at 4pm in Clontibret.
 
U12
Our u12s played Killanny on Tuesday evening last. Result next week. Good to see the boys turning out in brilliant numbers for training and putting in a great effort, especially running up the hill! Our next game is on Saturday, 24th May in Clones.
 
Tickets for Monaghan v Fermanagh
Club members who wish to be considered for tickets for the Monaghan v Fermanagh Ulster Championship match should place their order with Colm (85496) or Frank (85336) before tomorrow, Friday, at 1pm as the order must be placed with the county board tomorrow afternoon.
 
Summer Camps
The GAA Cul Camp will run in Clontibret from the 7th to 11th July from 10am to 2.30pm daily, and will include a Nursery Camp for 5 & 6 year olds. Further details from Paul O’Connor on 0868374827.
 
U10 Blitz
Blitz for 9 and 10 year olds in Cloghan on Saturday at 9am. Players to meet at the clubrooms at 8.45am.
 
Sympathy
The club extends sympathy to Donal Allen on the recent death of his brother Noel.
