Clontibret Club Notes
Senior Championship Opening game in the defence of our championship title takes place on Sunday, in Blayney at 6.30pm. We take on neighbours Doohamlet in what will be a hard fought contest. O’Neill Park is also the venue for championship matches both on Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 6.15pm.The usual loyal band of stewards should report at least an hour before the off. Also the venue for Senior Hurling championship match on Thur June 5th.
Senior League Its Doohamlet twice in the one week as we entertain them on Wed night next at 7.45pm in the Senior League
Reserve League Division 1 Clontibret 1-10, Magheracloone 0-07. This win over table toppers Magheracloone gives us home venue for the semi final on Monday June 9th
Reserve League Division 3 Clontibret 0-15, Truagh 1-07. The Div.3 side kept up their winning streak against Truagh in Clontibret on Saturday evening last. Final league game with Emyvale coming up and then a championship visit to Aghabog
Minors Minor training continues Tuesdays and Thursdays with matches on hold due county team action and the break for examinations. Best wishes to all doing exams and also well done to Pauric Boyle who played his part in Monaghan's minor win last Sunday
U16 League Exam break here too as training continues Sunday, Wednesday and Friday .Good luck to all doing the Junior Cert
U14 We play Latton on Saturday on Saturday in Clontibret at 4pm.
U12 Under 12 beat Clones on Sat last 6-8 to 1-5. Good all round performance from keeper to corner forward including the five subs used. Game on Tuesday in Cremartin at 7pm.
Under 8 and Under10 Trainng for the above which normally takes place on Friday evening is switched to this evening Thursday due to Senior championship on Friday
Monaghan v Fermanagh Much disappointment in Brewster Park on Sunday for our players and the whole Monaghan squad. They know they are better than this and can pick themselves up for the qualifiers.
