Clontibret Club Notes
Senior League Clontibret 1-08, Doohamlet 0-14. We played Doohamlet in the league last Wednesday, the second time to have played them in four days. This time however the result favoured our neighbours. We got off to a promising start and were going well in the first half. We started brightly again in the second half but lost our way during the half, while Doohamlet gained in confidence and finished the game strongly to win by 3 points. Clontibret 2-10, ‘Blayney 0-13. A good performance in the opening half saw us lead by 4 points at half time. However it took a while for us to get back into the game in the second half, and ‘Blayney took the lead midway through the half. We came good again though, and a goal from Ronan Murphy lay the platform for victory in the second half. We play Carrick tomorrow evening, Friday in Carrick at 8pm. Reserve League Division 1 We played Magheracloone in the league semi-final yesterday evening, Wednesday. O’Duffy Cup Final We play Ballybay in Ballybay in the O’Duffy Cup final this Sunday at 7pm.
