AGM & Presentation of Medals
Our AGM was efficient and very well attended on Sunday last, with all our executive committee staying on for another year. There are a number of changes in management positions which are outlined below. Our secretary and treasurer gave detailed accounts of the year’s activities, while our chairman also gave his address. Fundraising for the coming year was also discussed and it was decided to hold a Flag Day again on the weekend of 27th/28th March, while the juveniles were eager to hold a sponsored Stay Awake during the Easter holidays for the second year running. More details on these events to follow. The Election of Officers is as follows: Chairman: Michael McGinn; Secretary: Laura McManus; Treasurer: Rosemary McElvaney; P.R.O.: Kathy McManus; Registrar: Donna Finnegan; Vice-Chairperson: Breda Atkinson; Asst Secretary: Frank McManus; Asst Treasurer: Aisling McElvaney; Children’s Officers: Donna Finnegan & Kathy McManus; Co.Board Delegates: Harry Leonard, Gerry Brannigan, Danica Tavey, Michael McGinn, Breda Atkinson.

Management for the coming season is as follows: U12 – Donna Finnegan, Danica Tavey; U14 – Harry Leonard, Gerry Moen, Terence McCaffrey, Carmel McCague, Lorna Atkinson; U16 – John & Pauline Malone, Bronagh Byrne; Minor – Gerry Brannigan, Michael McGinn, Rosemary McElvaney, Mairead Tomany; Senior – Damien Moen. Last year’s u14 and minor medals were also presented and these teams were congratulated on their achievements.Votes of sympathy were passed with families who were bereaved during the year.

Registration Night
A registration night for all juvenile and senior players will take place tomorrow evening, Friday, 27th February at 7pm in Clontibret clubrooms. Registration for the year is €40 for seniors (this includes minors who wish to have wages covered in the event of an injury) and €30 for juveniles and €25 for officials. It is very important that all players and parents attend to get registered for the coming year.

Community Defibrillation
A public meeting was held a week ago where it was decided to commence training for Community Basic Life Support. All organisations are urgently requested to send members for training in this vital area. A limited number of places are still available.
